Keaton's 1st Birthday!

Keaton had her 1st Birthday Party Saturday at our house. We had so much fun! We had a Baby Pool Party. The babies played on the porch in the shade and the big kids played on a slip n' slide and bigger pool in the yard. Keaton played so hard with all of her friends. We had a big turn out.
Here are a few pictures to share.

Here Keaton is with her KK.

The New Baby

Well we had a early surprise Saturday morning. We were getting ready for Keaton's 1st Birthday Party. Paul went outside to check on the dogs and found that Gretta had had the puppies over night. We were so shocked to find that she had them early! She was not due until July 23 and she had them on the 17. We lost the whole litter but one little girl but she is perfect. She is Gretta's color. I think her color is going to be wonderful. She is so cute and sweet. She is doing so great and very strong. The vet said that sometimes the timing gets off and you just never know why she had them early. She will be really spoiled by time she is ready to go to her new home. It will be interesting to see how much we can teach her since she will be the only one. Last time we had 8 puppies to teach. So I am betting she is going to be smart. I will post pictures of her as soon as I can my camera is broke.

Happy 60th Birthday Glenn Davis!

Today would have been my Dad's 60th Birthday! He passed away almost 10 years ago from a brain tumor. I have been very lucky in my life to have 2 dads. Glenn was my step father but he was more than that to me. He was another father to me. I met him when I was 8 years old. My mom told me we were moving to Andalusia, Alabama. We lived in Atlanta, GA! I said I am not moving to a hole in the wall! Now I couldn't imagine living any where else! I love Andalusia! Funny how things always turn out for the best. I can't believe he would have been 6o years old. That sounds old. He had just turned 50 when he passed away. He was one of the most remarkable men I have ever known.

Happy Birthday Dad!

~ The Perfect Sister ~

I just thought I would tell everyone about my perfect little sister. She is 17 and she allot like me. Ha-ha! She is so much fun to hang out with. We are 12 years apart in age but now that she has gotten older it is so much fun hanging out with her. She helps me so much with projects I have. And the kids love when KK comes to town. I am so proud of her. She is so smart. She is excellent in school. I can't wait to see what she does when is grows up. I know I can always count on her no matter what. I am so thankful to have her.

The Perfect Dog!

Gretta's having puppies! She is due on July 23, 2009. It will be different without Paul here to do everything! I can handle everything but birthing them. I told Paul he better make it home in time for that! It is a lot of work having these puppies. But it is neat to see them have such great homes. I am trying to go as much as I can in the next few weeks. After she has the puppies I will have to be in town for the rest of the summer. The kids and I are trying to go see Paul as much as we can. Our Labrador website is http://www.myjimbo.net/ We will put picture of the puppies up as soon as we can. They are so cute! Just like their mother!

Trouble with Slide shows!

OK this has been crazy! I have been trying to get all these photos going with a slide show and it has taken me all night. So that is why I am write this blog up here because I can't figure out how to get it with the slides.

Anyway...the slide show that is at the beach was Tuesday, June 30th. We went to THE HUT to see Paul in Panama City. We when to the beach on the base. It is so nice because it is nothing but beach. You don't have anything around you. We really enjoyed it with the kids. Paul and Dalton always like getting in the water.

As for the other slide show of Keaton...I was trying to get a photo of her for her birthday invitation and she was a mess. She wanted to grab the camera or stick out her tongue the whole time. She is so much fun right now. She is learning so much! Her birthday is coming up fast. She will be one on July 16th! I can't believe it! And Dalton will be starting 1st grade soon!

Keaton showing off for the camera!

The Hut

Paul Spears at "The Hut"

This is the best husband in the world!

Paul decided to look for another job a few months ago and he got a job as a security engineer working for Telos (a company out of Washington). His job is at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, FL. He decided to get a camper to stay in during the week so he could take the job. It is a 2.5 hour drive for us so he couldn't do that every day.

We decided our camper needed a name so we named it "The Hut"!

The kids love to go to The Hut. Dalton is a daddy's boy so he can't go long with out his dad. And Keaton is following his foot steps! We are trying to go down allot during the summer before Dalton is back in school.

The Hut is at Cooks Bayou Marina in Panama City. It is very nice little place. It has a Tiki Bar called the Doghouse, bait shop, and docks to fish on.
Anyway this is the life at The Hut!

Karate!

Dalton's 1st Karate Tournament
This was Dalton's first time in a tournament. He did so good! He won 1st prize in his Kata and 2nd prize in fighting. He was so excited!
